Last week we attended RF LAN 59 along with 800 gamers. Started in 2000 it’s Perth’s largest cyber-athletics tournament. With over $20,000 in cash and prizes, the competition was fierce. We had the chance to show off two of our new systems and look forward to showing off our new builds at RF LAN 60.
Nintendo will be releasing Super Mario Odyssey on the 28th of October for the Nintendo Switch. A completely new game players can freely roam a 3d world and interact with objects. The best way I can describe this game is that it’s the modern-day successor to Mario 64.
Ubisoft will be releasing Assassins Creed Origins on the 27th. The 10th installment of the series it will be available on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. Taking players back to ancient Egypt and is a prequel following the origins of the brotherhood.
Oculus makers of the Rift Virtual Reality Headset have announced plans to release a low-cost headset which will be compatible with PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. At $200 the Oculus GO will be the cheapest VR headset on the market and is due for release early next year.
Last week we announced that Atari would be releasing a mini-retro console called the Ataribox. Following the success of Nintendo and Sega re-releasing their mini retro consoles. THis week it was rumored that Nintendo is considering re-releasing the original Gameboy.
